Discover your inner artist! Explore the arts, nature, and self-expression at a senior-friendly watercolor course in the Japanese Garden.  Starts Oct. 13.

On weekday mornings, the Japanese Garden is especially tranquil and peaceful, a place of solace  that attracts the senior members of our community.  This fall, we have art instructors ready to take the inspiration these visitors get from visiting the garden and turn them into their own unique forms of artistic expression.

Course description follows:

Arts in the Park Watercolor Painting at the Japanese Garden  is returning this fall! We hope you can join us on Tuesdays, October 13th, 20th & 27th from 10 am – noon  to engage with watercolor, nature and each other.  A skilled Elderwise facilitator leads this 3-session series open to persons living with dementia and care partners.

One care partner may attend with each participant free of charge. The 2 hour session includes time to walk in the garden, plus a guided painting experience inspired by the Japanese garden.
