PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

To preserve a tranquil experience for all visitors, we do not allow tripods or specialized camera equipment during regular garden hours. Formal photo shoots are not allowed, examples include promotional, wedding, fashion, prom, graduation, maternity, family or individual portrait photography. No exceptions. Weekday mornings are an excellent time for photographers to visit the garden and enjoy a less crowded garden environment.

Koi Feeding

Guests are welcome to purchase koi food at the Garden Gatehouse and feed koi fish in the garden pond from 10AM-Noon, May through September. Koi should only be fed from the wooden zigzag bridge and the wooden Moon Viewing platform in the garden. Please do not bring outside food into the garden to feed the koi fish, as it is bad for their health. Koi feeding is limited to the summer season, when it is warm enough for the fish to come out of hibernation.

Free daily guided tours are available at 11am and 1pm Tuesday-Friday and 1pm on first Saturday of each month. On Free First Thursday, a guided tour is offered at 1pm. For the latest updates, visit our tour information page.
