Staying Grounded: A Stroll Through the Seattle Japanese Garden
It has been quite some time ago that the Seattle Japanese Garden was closed due to the COVID-19 threat. Since then, many people told us that they missed the garden very much and wished it were open. We feel the same way; however, we are very proud that we are following the “Stay at Home, Stay Healthy” order and patiently keep fighting against the coronavirus from home.
Meanwhile, spring has come to the garden. The trees and plants have changed themselves with their new and colorful spring attire. Koi and turtles have been showing up on the surface of the pond. Our senior gardener, Pete Putnicki, has been diligently attending to them, taking care of them, and witnessing their wonderful changes.
Today, Pete kindly created this garden video in order to help us stay grounded and to showcase how the garden has been doing. Thank you, Pete, for your sweet video. Now, all of us can enjoy the Seattle Japanese Garden from home!
Oh, by the way, this is also a rare opportunity to see Pete dressed up and standing in front of the camera. We should do it more from now on!
