For our Family Saturday in August, the Seattle Japanese Garden will welcome Gregory Kono from the Drachen Foundation again for a fun hands-on kite-making workshop. Mr. 
Kono will be showing our visitors how to make mini koi and yakko kites from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Drachen Foundation, located in Seattle, WA, collects and maintains information about kites worldwide, They share their skills and as well as their archival material at numerous workshops and community events. 

Admission is FREE from 10AM until 2PM for visitors 12 and under for Family Saturday!
