Family Saturday: Maple Festival 2019

(Family Saturday – Free admission for youth under 12 from 10am – 2pm)

Join us for Momijigari (紅葉狩り) – the beloved tradition of appreciating nature’s art. Each day brings out more colors to the Seattle Japanese Garden during this time of year creating a breathtaking view.

Self-guided Maple Tour Brochures are available all day.

We have Maple Scavenger Hunt & Maple Leaf Origami in the Tateuchi Community Room everyday 11am - 1pm (Monday 12pm-2pm) with other special cultural experiences waiting for you on weekends during the festival.

11 am - 1 pm Maple Scavenger Hunt & Maple Origami

11:15 am, 12:00 pm Taiko Performance by Kaze Daiko

1 – 2 pm Kids Illustration Workshop by Liz Wong

1pm / 2pm / 3pm Tea Ceremony provided by Urasenke Tankokai

(Tickets sold separately. Please stop by or call the gatehouse to reserve your seats.)

* Parking lot is expected to be congested all day. Please consider taking public transportation or other alternative access to the garden.

* Admission to the garden ends 30 minutes prior to the closing time at 4:30pm

* Plan to arrive at least one hour prior to the closing time

* Tripods are not allowed in the garden
