The Seattle Japanese Garden will celebrate Respect for Elders Day and Family Satuday on the same day in September!
In honor of this Japanese holiday (敬老の日 - Monday, September 16, 2019 in Japan), admission is FREE for all seniors, as well as youth 12 and under, from 10am - 2pm, on Saturday, September 7th.
From 11am-1pm, we welcome back Sanae Ishida for a reading of the newest edition to her Little Kunoichi series ‘Ba-chan the Ninja Grandma’ a story of Little Kunoichi’s wise, creative, and eccentric grandmother and a hands-on watercolor demonstration.
Free guided tours are available at 11am & 12:30pm.
Tea ceremonies are offered at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm during the event. The tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for youth. Please visit the gatehouse call at (206) 684-4725 to purchase your tickets.
