For the August Free First Thursday, Wandering & Wondering brings its unique presence to the Summer Seattle Japanese Garden! Throughout the three-hour annual event since 2010, you will encounter dancers and musicians dispersed in surprising locations in the garden. The performers’ movements are inspired by all the sights, smells, and sounds they encounter in the garden, and in observing them, you will experience a heightened awareness of this beautiful and magical environment. This summer's performance will also be inspired by the imagery introduced by Professor Nobuko Horikawa's lecture given on the same day.
Wandering & Wondering is directed by Joan Laage/Kogut Butoh.
On Free First Thursdays, garden admission is FREE all day.
